inDrive, a global mobility and urban services platform, has rewarded its top-performing drivers in Lagos with locally produced Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing (IVM) G-20 smart cars under its “Do X Get Y” (DXGY) reward program in Nigeria.
The DXGY reward program aims to recognize, support, and reward top-performing, efficient, and hardworking drivers with exciting prizes, including the grand prize of an Innoson Car, fuel vouchers, home appliances, smartphones, and driving gear.
The three-month-long program is scheduled to run until July 31, 2024, with drivers in Lagos and Abuja given the opportunity to participate and win by meeting or exceeding their ride targets. Winners are recognized biweekly for exciting prizes, with one exceptional driver awarded a monthly grand prize of a car.
Speaking at the official handover ceremony of the grand prizes of Innoson G-20 Smart cars to winners of the “DXGY” reward program, Driver Acquisition Supervisor, Nigeria, inDrive, Catherine Akindele, emphasized the core objectives of the reward program, stating, “The Do X Get Y reward program is one of the many initiatives rolled out by inDrive in alignment with its mission to challenge injustice, alleviate drivers’ struggles, ensure better earnings, and provide a more convenient and efficient work environment beyond the rigors of meeting unachievable targets.”
“Congratulations to the star winners of our grand prize of an Innoson G-20 Smart Car, Mr. Daniel Akintayo and Mr. Anthony Okelue, who have shown great enthusiasm and sheer commitment to exceeding their targets and now have a reward for their hard work.
“This is not just a gift; it’s a reward for tenacious hard work and resilience by our drivers. We want to encourage more drivers to participate in the reward program and other initiatives soon to be rolled out,” she further enthused.
Akindele also highlighted the rigorous process inDrive followed to ensure transparency and fairness in selecting the winners. “The inDrive team closely monitored drivers’ app usage to verify targets were met, ensuring transparency. We hope today’s winners share their inDrive stories and inspire other drivers to participate in our initiatives,” she concluded.
Expressing his gratitude, the grand prize winner, Mr. Daniel Akintayo said, “I am excited, I am grateful to inDrive; it is indeed a dream come true and beyond my expectations. I joined inDrive not long after its inception. I could tell they differed from other brands as they did not take a commission for close to six months and had other amazing features that favored drivers beyond making profit and meeting targets.
“With inDrive, drivers know their destination before accepting a ride, can assess the traffic density, the possibility of getting another ride request from the destination, the fixed price, and the road terrain of the destination.”
Mr. Anthony Okelue, the second star-prize winner, also shared his joy, “I am grateful, I am happy and very proud of inDrive. Before I joined inDrive, I had worked with other car-hailing services but I joined inDrive because of the treatment of their customers and drivers, allowing them to choose and negotiate their prices.
“I am glad I participated, met my target, and am now a proud winner of the star prize of a brand-new car. I am an ambassador of inDrive and I encourage everyone to participate because hard work speaks,” he stated.
Also commenting at the presentation ceremony, Branch Manager Lagos, Innoson Group of Companies, Mr. Charles Chukwuma, said, “Congratulations, we appreciate your commitment and welcome you to the Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Family, a household name in Nigeria, Africa, and beyond.”
The grand prize winners, Mr. Daniel Akintayo and Mr. Anthony Okelue, were awarded their Innoson G-20 Smart cars on Thursday, July 4, 2024, at the IVM Dealership in Surulere, Lagos State. Friends and family members of the winners, as well as other participating drivers, were present to commemorate the occasion with their winning colleagues.
