The 2nd Inter-House Sports Competition of Bosede Idehen International Academy/Springfield Private School was held on March 21, 2025, showcasing the school’s dedication to both academic and athletic excellence. Students displayed remarkable skills, teamwork, and competitive spirit throughout the various sporting events.
Parents who attended the competition were visibly proud and enthusiastic as they watched their children perform. One parent remarked, “This was a wonderful experience. Seeing what our kids are capable of brings us so much joy, and it’s even better sharing this moment with other parents.”
Mrs. Idehen Ovabor, the Director of the school, praised both students and organizers for their efforts. She emphasized the school’s ongoing commitment to providing world-class education: “Our vision is to create an international-standard atmosphere where students receive the best education, just like in the Western world. We follow an American-Nigerian curriculum, ensuring that students have a balanced approach to academics and extracurricular activities. The competition featured four houses, each named after a U.S. state:
- Yellow House (Texas)
- Blue House (Massachusetts)
- Purple House (California)
- Lemon House (New York)
After an exciting series of events, Texas (Yellow) House claimed the overall victory. Purple (California) House and Blue (Massachusetts) House tied for second place. All houses performed admirably, earning multiple medals throughout the competition.
This event further demonstrated the school’s commitment to holistic education, fostering both academic and physical development in students. Given the enthusiasm and participation seen this year, next year’s Inter-House Sports Competition promises to be even more impressive.
