Fresh rumours have emerged suggesting a possible rift between Nigerian music stars Simi and Adekunle Gold following the circulation of an alleged divorce petition on social media.
The controversy reportedly began after popular blogger Stella Dimoko Korkus was said to have shared a document purportedly filed by Adekunle Gold seeking the dissolution of his marriage. The alleged petition quickly went viral, triggering widespread reactions and debates among fans online.
According to claims contained in the circulating document, the singer, born Adekunle Kosoko, allegedly cited irreconcilable differences and described the marriage as having “irretrievably broken down.”
The petition reportedly accused Simi of exerting excessive control over various aspects of his life, including emotional, financial, social and professional matters. It further alleged that he felt dominated and emotionally exhausted, describing the relationship as toxic and lacking mutual respect.
Among the claims making the rounds online were assertions that Simi allegedly referred to herself as the “man of the house” and failed to acknowledge his role as husband.
The document reportedly concluded with a request for the court to dissolve the union.
As of the time of filing this report, neither Simi nor Adekunle Gold has issued any public statement addressing the authenticity of the viral claims, leaving fans awaiting clarification.
