This annual celebration honors the legendary Egba hero, Lisabi Agbongbo Akala, whose fearless leadership against the oppressive rule of the Oyo Empire in the 18th century continues to inspire generations.
The festival, themed “Ègbáliganza 2025,” successfully merged cultural pride with modern flair, bringing together Egba sons and daughters from across the globe in a magnificent display of unity and heritage. The celebration featured a grand showcase of traditional attire, music, dance, and culinary delights that highlighted the rich cultural tapestry of the Egba people.

In true Ogun fashion, reminiscent of the renowned Ojude Oba festival, attendees displayed remarkable sartorial elegance.
